Auto repair in the United States is split between independent shops, dealership service departments and national chains. Independents handle most routine work (oil changes, brakes, tune-ups, check-engine diagnostics) at lower labor rates and often specialize in one make or in imports; dealers keep factory tools, software and warranty authority; chains sell speed and standard pricing on maintenance items. Most shops charge a diagnostic fee, credited toward the repair if you go ahead, and quote parts and labor separately. Certification matters: look for ASE-certified technicians and, in many states, a state repair license posted at the counter. Written estimates are required by law in most states before work begins, and you are entitled to your old parts if you ask.

After being a loyal customer for more than three years, I've sadly come to see a concerning double standard in commitment at this shop. Despite my readiness to overlook mistakes and bear the costs of repairs on my international trucksβ€”such as when Mechanic Adam improperly installed the fuel service line, resulting in over $5,000 in repairs after it snapped on Highway 4β€”I feel let down. The management, under Kyle's leadership, shows a clear lack of professionalism and transparency. Recently, when I brought in a truck as a regular customer, I discovered that it had a lien sale on it. Moreover, I was charged over $5,000 for storage fees related to the air compressor repair, a fee that had never been applied to me in the three years I've been a customer. If your operational costs are high, it's unfair to pass those expenses onto your customers. Anyone who has done business with him knows how the billing works. I've repeatedly reached out to him to resolve this issue, but he has been ignoring my calls, texts, and emails, seemingly hoping to collect the $10,000 he billed us for.

Tried to repair a Turbo on my Ram 5500 and they ended up sending it to Diamond Diesel. They also lost my wheel well and took forever to return the truck back.

Terrible workmanship. Takes cash only no estimate provided (my fault on that regard). I went solely on his reviews and found out they are fake Most of the positive reviews are by coworkers and relatives. Was quoted for 35 hours for a diesel swap 70 hours later had to pull the project from him. The last 11 billed hours i never agreed to. The new mechanic said they did 10 hours of work after the original motor was pulled. The motor was in crooked and twisted. Lost my business and I have two diesel vehicles that they will never touch Doubt they have return customers and won’t be in business much longer

Not exaggerating, this is literally the worst business interaction of any kind I have ever had. First and foremost they took a month to "finish" work on my truck, all of it failed within 300 miles and they would back up any of their work. Communication was unprofessional, unreliable and initiated by me every time. My truck has not been the same since I brought it here. There were plenty of red flags I wish I had listened to. Avoid this place at all costs!

Kyle has been the mechanic for our recycling fleet now for at least 16 years. He and his team are expert mechanics, warm, personable and have rock solid integrity. You won’t find a better company to work with. We are grateful to be a customer.
