I'll dive right in. They butchered my brand new intake manifold installation somehow. The main reason I didn't do it myself was because I figured they had it handled while installing my suspension. Took 6 WEEK'S to get my car back. It IMMEDIATELY had issues. Finally after I tinkered with it and thought it was running well I drove to Yosemite with my girlfriend. Made it to the entrance and suddenly every single light on the dash lit up. I plugged in my diagnostic computer and it had 34 codes. 34 CODES, DUDE. Luckily I had my tools with me and was able to limp it back home... but couldn't let off the gas without the engine dying. 500 miles like that. Totally overheated my brakes and my hubcaps melted straight off the rims (see attached photo). I also got a speeding ticket ($300) and made it so the $1.5k I spent on that trip was a COMPLETE waste. They also UNINSTALLED my BBK 62mm twin throttle body and installed a stock one for ZERO reason (they gave me a reason that made zero sense). Not go mention they did it WITHOUT telling me AT ALL and weren't going to until I HAD TO CALL AND ASK WHERE MY BBK WAS. I cannot say enough good things about Alex. We had another mechanic tell us that our 2013 Honda Odyssey’s engine needed to be replaced and quoted us $8500. We almost sold it for nothing, but last minute decided to get a second opinion from Alex because he was so highly recommended by good friends. Not only did he fix the engine issue, but replaced our terrible axels for literally thousands of dollars less than our original quote. Our favorite van is running better than it has in years. Folks, those five stars are NOT fake news. Alex and his crew do great work and they are certainly competitive in price. Alex is probably the most honest mechanic shop owner you'll ever meet and I've sent several associates to him and they have all been extremely satisfied and have already referred others to him. I promise, you have found a new fix-it home for your vehicle if you choose All Star. A No Brainer!
