These guys are amazing!!! I bought my car with an after market radio screen and it was terrible. The screen was too dim I could barely see it, my mic didn’t work, the left camera didn’t work, apple connect didn’t work, it was just terrible. Well I asked them if they could help me replace the radio screen and fix all the rest of the issue. 3 hours later and my car was ready. I was REALLY happy with my new and improved screen!! The left camera works, it’s a lot brighter, mic works, Apple connect works so I can see map on the screen now, and everything is just perfect now. I definitely recommend and trust these guys to be helpful!!

I appreciate the time and care they took explaining what my best options were for installing a sub woofer in my vehicle. Thank you again Stephen and crew! I love my new system. Couldn't have had a more seamless experience. Stephen, who is a younger co-owner, responded to my Yelp-based inquiry expeditiously and then I met him in person. I drive a 25-year-old car with similarly-aged speakers and radio.... (think cassette and disc changer in the trunk). My car is tricky for installation, something I'd learned through lots of research. It didn't slow Stephen down at all. They had to tear out my dash, my back seats and dive into my trunk. And, now, my car doesn't look like it has been touched! He even took the time to sit with me after the installation and explain the new technology and interface, and to assure me it was in good working order. He was clear on his price and even though the installation was more complicated than even he had expected, he stuck to the quoted price. And the location in Redwood City is super convenient. I only wish all vendors operated like this. Well done, Bay Area Car Audio. Thanks for helping bring my car into the 21st century!

The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and helped us replace our radio for a little over half the price that our dealer quoted. They did a great job with the installation too!

I got my car stereo replaced here and they did a fantastic job, but charged me $600 more than they initially said (when I went in they said it would be $250 ish and I paid closer to $900). This was because they ran into unexpected issues which they communicated clearly about and solved well, but it was still way out of budget for me, and had I known that was going to be how much it cost, I probably would have made a different decision. But the new stereo works great, it just sucks that it cost me $900 to put in on top of the $500 I paid for it. They also put this sticker on the back of my car, which upset me — they didn’t tell me they were doing that, it wasn’t until I got home that I realized it was there. Took me a bit to remove it too.
