Shean is always so nice to my parents who run a machine shop in Cleburne. He was so friendly when we went to pick up parts today. We love to support local businesses and will continue to bring our business here.

I recently had a frustrating experience with Blaine's Motor Supply. The prices are outrageously high—far more than I've seen at other suppliers. I felt completely taken advantage of when I realized the same services were available elsewhere for much less. This kind of markup is unacceptable and I won't ever be back. Initially, they quoted me $200 for each head, which seemed reasonable. However, a week later after not having touched my car, they called to say my guide needed replacement, and it would cost an outrageous $700 to fix. I refused and decided to take my business elsewhere. At the new place, E&C Head Shop, they checked my heads and charged me $200 in total for them being fixed. They said that they normally charge $50 each. They fixed the other problem as well and had everything ready the same day for a total of $350. Blaine's Motor Supply clearly tried to overcharge me and this practice not only alienates loyal customers but also raises concerns about the company's overall integrity and long-term viability in a competitive market. This past July I decided to give Blaines a try, nice folks but missed the mark on my Big Block Chevy. Long story short I dropped off several items to include a 454 rotating assembly and a 496 Chevy striker assembly for balance that work was completed. I dropped two blocks one that was a .040 454 to be block prepped and that went fine. The other Chevy Big Block I dropped was to be prepped and bored .060 over. The prep was completed but the bore work was not, imagine my surprise this past week when I got around to building only to have the rings not fit during the test fit and measure the bore and determine it was not bored to .060 as paid for and requested. I called and the first Lady to answer the phone responded with “I have never heard of that” when I explained my concern. I did not ask them to make this right as I have no desire to return there given the length of time the first process took and the simple fact I have lost faith in that shop. I have always had great service from City Motor supply over on Harry Hines. Blaines is not a bad shop, I just had an experience that was not great, check the work before you the shop so you do not waste money as I did.
