I'm not going to comment on the quality of this business's workmanship because they never performed any work for me. What I will comment on is their pricing and estimate process. I contacted the business for an estimate to repair a roughly 2-inch gash in the leather seat cover of my low-mileage 2012 Ford F-150 Raptor. After I took the time to send photos, Eddy reviewed them and told me that my only option was to replace the entire seat cover panel, with an estimated cost of about $850. At one point in my career I was an ASE-certified automotive and smog repair technician, so I knew replacing the entire panel through their shop was not my only option. While I don't work in upholstery, I do have professional experience restoring and repairing vehicles. After I questioned whether there were other options, Eddy professionally clarified that replacing the entire panel was the only repair his shop was willing to perform. I appreciated his honesty about that. I then sourced an exact matching replacement seat cover on eBay for $190. After removing the original cover, I inspected the seat foam and found no damage. Review for Chuck’s Tops and Trims, Inc. I took my 2006 Mini Cooper convertible to Chuck’s Tops and Trims because the original factory cloth seats, after 20 years of use, were simply beyond saving. I do not think any amount of cleaning could have removed the accumulated stains, dirt, and wear from two decades on the road. From the beginning, the staff at Chuck’s Tops and Trims were excellent to work with. They helped me select a beautiful leather color combination to replace the old cloth seats, and they were very patient with all my questions. I am sure they have answered many of those same questions countless times, but they took the time to explain the options, warranty, pricing, deposit process, and everything else I needed to know. The whole process was easy and professional. After the leather I selected arrived at the shop, I made arrangements to have the work done. They removed the old cloth seat covers and installed the new leather using the existing seat frames. I expected the job to take all day, but they had my Mini finished by about 2:00 p.m. When I picked up the car, I was honestly dumbfounded by how good it looked. Chucks tops and trim installed new seat covers and a seat cushion in my truck. When walking in door I was greeted immediately. I explain to them what I was looking for and they helped me through the process of picking out the perfect combination for my truck. The day dropping off my truck they took it in and got it done in great time. The quality hands down is very nice and has enhanced my overall look of the truck. The shop itself is very nice and clean. I cannot express how great of a job Chuck's Tops and Trim did on my Katzkin install. The friendliness, professionalism, and quality of work that they do is what sets them apart from the rest. The ladies working the front desk were extremely friendly and welcoming, and the owner went out of his way to receive my Jeep early in order to get me on my way, and also answer questions upon pickup. This is a business that's built on the people, and it shows in their workmanship and service! 2 TIPS: 1. If you are getting a leather interior, or Katzkin install, go see them in person, look at samples, talk with their staff, and guarantee you're getting EXACTLY what you want BEFORE your purchase! 2. If you are looking for ANYTHING YETI brand, this is your place! I have never seen such a good selection of all things YETI in one spot! Cant wait for my next opportunity to do business here!
