I recently brought my 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe to Circle D after experiencing a serious transmission overheating event while driving back to Houston. The transmission temperature climbed to an alarming level, and another repair facility had initially recommended replacing the transmission. I came to Circle D prepared for the possibility of spending approximately $8,000 on a replacement. Roy and the team at Circle D took the time to properly diagnose the vehicle before recommending anything. They road-tested it, checked for trouble codes, dropped and inspected the transmission pan and fluid, and found no significant metal or other evidence that justified replacing an otherwise smooth-shifting transmission. Rather than sell me an expensive transmission I apparently did not need, they recommended addressing the cooling system and servicing the existing transmission. Circle D installed a Sure-Cool transmission cooler bypass system, replaced the transmission fluid, filter and gasket, installed a lower-temperature engine thermostat and performed the appropriate computer calibration. I took my Camaro in for a complete performance rebuild on my transmission. The attentiveness, communication, and care they gave me and my car was superb. People say you get what you pay for, and my money was very well spent here. I am beyond satisfied with Glen, Roy, and the rest of the team at Circle D. What made it better is the fact that I bought my torque converter from Circle D specialties, and both companies are directly related. Had my 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 transported from Florida to Houston, TX for the transmission shuddering, slipping, harsh shifting, and it was getting stuck in one gear. The communication from the moment my truck arrived at their facility to the time I came to pick it up was absolutely phenomenal. Glen was very straightforward, and informed me of everything that was wrong with my transmission, without trying to sell me on anything extra and unnecessary. They rebuilt my transmission, replaced my torque converter, and installed an aux cooler. I picked up my truck on 22May2026, and drove it from Houston,TX to Jacksonville, FL, from Jacksonville, FL to Virginia Beach, VA and back. It had 139,000 miles when I picked it up from their shop, as of today (08JUL26) it has 147,500 miles. It runs beautifully and feels powerful since i’ve picked it up from their shop. I’d take my truck here in every lifetime for repair, and i’d recommend everyone to take their truck here for any transmission issues they have!

Replaced entire transmission on my 2001 Chevy Silverado. Excellent communication, and what was being done, felt confident with the advice given. Job was handled efficiently and I got my truck back days before I ever expected. Completely satisfied. If my Yukon has transmission issues I'll be a return customer for sure. I had a friend recommend them. Glad he did.

I had an amazing experience with Circle D Transmission! This is my first truck, and I know absolutely nothing about transmissions, which made my F-150 issues pretty stressful. Troy completely turned that around by guiding me through the entire process and presenting all my options with zero pressure. Troy is fantastic, but it’s clear that the entire experienced team makes this company so great. They are knowledgeable, honest, and professional. Highly recommend!

Very pleased I went here. The shop is immaculate, really shows the attention to detail they put into their work. People are friendly and responsive. I went in with an idea in my mind for a fairly expensive custom transmission rebuild, and with their expertise and knowledge they determined I did not need to spend that kind of money for what I'm doing with it. Saved me a big chunk of cash and I've got a transmission now that is more durable and outperforms the stock OEM. Chevy Suburban 2500 with a 6.0 towing a 7,000 lb trailer over 30,000 mi a year around the country. I now have complete confidence that I have a highly reliable unit. Had a rattle after the trans rebuild, took it back in, discovered it had nothing to do with the transmission (it was exhaust) but they fixed it for me anyway, no charge.

You know what when you wanna talk about customer service They go above and beyond! This is the first experience that I’ve had with them and I’ll definitely refer them to everybody I know. Hopefully I don’t have to use them in the near future lol. I drop my truck off on Monday and they had it ready by Friday!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Circle D Transmission was awesome! They rebuilt my transmission and did an amazing job. Super helpful, answered all my questions and made sure I understood everything. The rebuild was done quick and done right. Great customer service all around—definitely recommend!
