I cant tell you enough how grateful I am to find a machine shop that is willing to go above and beyond. My experience with a mechanic that was supposed to build me a short block for my truck ended up putting used bad heads on as well as used dirty parts from a junk yard. Ultimately damaging the new short block. I ended up tearing apart the motor myself down to the short block. I came here, hoping they could fix the heads but with their true honesty told me, the heads were no good and just purchase new ones. As for the short block, they did a phenomenal job rehoning the cylinders and replicating the piston rings. the block is new again. If you're looking for a shop that has integrity, this was a place you need to go for all your machine work. Well, definitely be doing business in the future and recommending them to everyone I know.

Worked with Edgar to rebuild my heads on a 1979 GMC Sierra pickup. He did a great job before the truck was puffing a little blue smoke out the tail pipe. He installed all new valves and springs. Amazing job and the turn around was only 48 hours. Wow. Highly recommend Edgar and his crew. A++

They are absolutely great! They roughly price you from memory (shows experience), gives you options on brands, and will go above and beyond to help you find another core so you won't have to struggle. Even though when busy, they still answer you or call back. I love this place, and highly recommend F R automotive to all my friends and family! They are very honest people and do their checks and research.
