I will be saying nothing new here. To echo what everyone else has stated already, this is by far the best mechanic experience I've had. For the last couple weeks, I've been dealing with recurring issues that other mechanics could not pinpoint. John asked me to leave my car overnight so that he could properly diagnose the issue. I ended up needing to replace my alternator, belt, pulleys, and bearings. He did this job for me in a day and gave me a big labor discount. He thoroughly communicated all the issues and was very kind and honest throughout. Even when my alternator gave me battery issues a couple days later, John had me bring the car back and resolved the issue at no extra cost. On top of having great mechanics, this place has great human beings. One less worry in my life now. Will definitely be coming back and recommending this business.

John at J&S Auto is the most trustworthy and friendly mechanic I’ve found in LA. He explains everything, shows you exactly what’s going on with your car, and never pushes work you don’t need. When I came in with a rear brake caliper that was dragging after a fresh caliper, he was upfront that he wasn’t 100% sure of the cause and actually encouraged me to get a second opinion rather than replace a bunch of parts just to guess at it — i appreciated his honesty which ended up saving me real money. He keeps you in the loop the whole time, pricing is fair and affordable, and he genuinely cares about doing right by his customers over making an extra buck. Can’t recommend this shop enough. Thank you John! I’d trust him with my life.

Honest, trustworthy mechanic. Called about an issue I thought my car had and he gave me advice on how to triage and told me he didn’t want me paying for something I didn’t need. Very impressed. Would definitely use him in the future.

It was our first time with J&S and glad we did. The owner explained well what’s happening in our car and how to take care of it being on 100k milleage. He even offered to check it when we mentioned we plan for a long drive. Thank you, John!

Phenomenal experience! I came in right away when they opened on a Saturday, I was second in line and was in and out in 45 minutes. Got a good price for a full synthetic oil change and tire rotation, wasn't upsold on anything, and they checked my brakes and tire pressure too. The owner is very polite and the waiting room was pleasant. I would highly recommend going very early though, especially on a Saturday. It was already starting to get busy when I left and the waiting room doesn't have AC so it probably gets quite hot later in the day. Overall a great professional, no nonsense shop!
