My air conditioner went out on a 100° day on I-5, in the middle of nowhere. I made it to Kool without melting. They had me fixed and back on the road in 2 hours and the price was fair!

Short version: If you can avoid this place for mechanical work, do it. Big thumbs down. As for A/C installations, I can’t speak to that. Long version: I originally found this shop because they’re a Vintage Air vendor and I wanted to have a system installed in my truck. Since my truck wasn’t running right at the time and they claimed to do mechanical work, I decided to let Kool Auto handle it. After several weeks and numerous unfulfilled promises, they told me my truck was “ready.” When I picked it up, I was informed that no work had actually been done. Worse, the wires to my electric fans had been cut, which caused the truck to overheat on the way home. The manager promised to make things right and get the truck running properly. Against my better judgment, I gave them a second chance. After another long wait and more empty promises, I was told the truck was ready again. This time, I broke down on the freeway on the way home. Both the owner and manager were fully aware of everything that happened, but I never received any follow-up or accountability from either of them. Came to Kool Air auto at 10 am 7/11/24. Was told 165 for ac diagnosis that's labor included. I told them I just needed a relay switch and I didn't know where it was location in my car. Waited for a few hours in the office then decided to go home till my car was finished. Call them every couple of hours to see if the work has been finished with no responses. My car has to stay overnight. I call in the morning with no response. I go in at 2:30 pm to see if I can find out whats going on. The receptionist is saying its his second day and that he is still learning and trying his best. They finally said they found the problem it was a relay switch. I knew that already and was the reason I came in. They sourced the part for me without asking me how much it would be. They then installed this relay without telling me how much labor it would cost. I waited till 5:30 before my car was pulled to the front by the mechanic Augie and he wrote me a receipt for 598.97. I said that's way higher then I expected to be paying. The mechanic then lied to my face and said it was very complicated to get to and he had to remove and reinstall my passenger airbag to get to it. He even said he could have charg

I started without an ac. When they finally got to it 2 days later they said they could only do a partial repair for $1150. When they did the 1st repair I still had the same issues. When I returned to the shop the 2nd time they said "oh a hose fell off the we installed " so they fixed that and also told me that the air stopped blowing not because of the hose but my truck was overheating bad.... Which is not the case at all but whatever fix what needs to be fixed so another $500 dollars later...... Same issue, took it back for the 3rd time they can't find the issue but hey now have have another 100 miles on my truck 1/4 tank less and broken dual ac and heater switches!!!! Love it! Good job guys.

AC was blowing hot air, so I made an appointment and took my car to the dealership where I go to for all of my services. Was told that it would be close to two weeks before they could even diagnose my car. Worried that it is going to warm up this next week, I started looking around. Steve at Rosedale Automotive was very gracious to recommend this place to me as he wasn't able to service my car. I was amazed at the quick and professional service that I received, was able to pick my car up the same day. Will definitely return for future needs.
