Needed to leave a review for Hunter and his crew at Larson Auto Works. These guys do amazing work! I’ve had them do multiple brake jobs among other projects on my three mustangs. The latest job done on my 78 King Cobra I couldn’t be happier with. Did a head swap, muffler install, and exhaust manifold. Also changed the ignition and cleaned up the engine bay. The car is driving better than ever. Next up will be cam, carb, and gear changes It doesn’t get much better than having a true enthusiast work on your car. They’re not just about billing for a job it’s about building something you know the customer will enjoy.

I received a referral from another restoration shop who no longer is working on maintenance and upgrade needs. They recommended Hunter over at Larson Auto Works. What can I say,… Hunter has efficiently and effectively helped me now with two issues and I have him lined up to assist with a third. I have fully restored frame of 1958 C1 Corvette which needed some TLC,…Tires, Pinion Seal,..Oil Pan maintenance,.and the dreaded Front End failed Bushings squeaks!! Hunter is so attentive that he picked up on a fuel link and jumped in the make it right before releasing the car back to me. I feel that he never sits on a project and gets the work done timely and at a reasonable price!!!! Highly recommend this young man! I also like his level of communication,….never leaves you hanging!! I had a complete modern drivetrain conversion completed by Larson Auto Works that many shops were afraid to take. I expected to have a few items to work out once completed, which is typically expected doing this sort of job, but haven't had any issues since Hunter completed the conversion. I also have another carbureted vehicle they were able to fix, tune and improve the drivability of the truck to handle the Houston heat and traffic. Great place for pre 1999 vehicles at fair prices.

Super bummed out with my experience here. Hunter seemed super cool and knowledgeable but I ended up getting messed over and wasting 6+ months of my time. He had my 89 bronco for around $13k worth of work/ restoration and I got it back in much worse shape. Was supposed to get new seats, headliner etc. Got it back with a huge dent in my drivers door which wasn’t there before which I have pictures to prove. The lift kit seems to sit lower on the passenger side and the truck shakes badly around 15-25 mph now. Shocks are not blisteins which is what he said he was going to put on. I had no intentions of lifting it but he recommended it for whatever reason. I had no issues with it mechanically the past 4 years I’ve owned it and now I’ve got a ton of fluid leaking after driving it for only the 3rd time back. It sat at his shop for 6-7 months to barely get anything accomplished. I was able to get the rear window motor replaced and it properly aligned in two days with another mechanic for $300. Not sure why I got put on the back burner for so long with no updates.

Awesome shop to work with. Hunter is an honest man. I will be bringing him my beloved 1968 Camaro. This is an all around shop. They work on practically anything. I’m happy to continue to bring my car for all it’s needs. Very reasonable on price. I recommend coming here if you have a classic vehicle.
