I used their service back in April and I had the feeling that the guy who makes the opacity test was doing it to not let it pass in purpose or was doing it all wrong, and he told me it didn't pass because I was 10% and the requirement was 5%, after that he was looking at me every time to see (or enjoy) my demeanor, bro my truck is pre 1996MY and they are allowed 30%, I was skeptic about it because I rebuilt my engine 7000 miles ago. I learned about the allowed percentages few days ago after taking my truck to another tester who did the test properly, he did three snap tests long enough for the machine to read the opacity, and it passed with 2.5% average in the three snaps. Also the guys in the office never uploaded my test or anything to the CARB CTC VIS.

Just wanted to take the time to show some appreciation to Pacific Truck & Tractor and their new addition to the team, Calvin K. This guy is amazing at what he does. Every time he comes out, he’s respectful, professional, and really takes the time to listen. You can tell he cares about the quality of his work and the people he’s working with. I’m the Yard Manager & Buyer at Sims Metal in Stockton, and ever since Calvin started servicing our equipment, I’ve noticed a real difference. He always gives solid advice and never cuts corners. You don’t come across mechanics like this often. He’s the kind of guy who goes above and beyond without even being asked. We’ll definitely keep working with Pacific Truck & Tractor.
