About Redwood City Transmission
Located at 412 MacArthur Ave, Redwood City, CA 94063, Redwood City Transmission operates as a transmission shop serving Redwood City in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Brake, transmission, exhaust and glass work is often done by specialty shops that see the same job dozens of times a week. Brake shops replace pads and rotors the same day and usually inspect for free; transmission shops rebuild or replace automatics and clutches, a multi-day job that deserves a second quote; muffler and exhaust shops weld custom pipes and replace catalytic converters, which in many states must meet emissions rules. Alignment and suspension shops fix pulling, uneven tire wear and worn shocks, and radiator shops handle overheating and cooling-system leaks. Auto glass shops replace windshields, often at your home or office, and recalibrate the driver-assistance cameras mounted behind the glass. Window tinting and car audio shops round out the group.

Ricky is an expert on fixing Transmission! My Honda Accord's CVT transmission gave up after 200,000 miles. Ricky got me a new transmission unit with a warranty and he made sure that my car was back to normal without any issues.

Ricky and his dad at Redwood City Transmission are amazing. They rebuilt our Dodge transmission. It was fast and reasonable priced. I installed it myself and then went back for them to hook up the programmer and tune the transmission. Highly recommend them, quality, honesty and reasonable pricing

Redwood City Transmission is a complete professional repair shop. It is a family-run business and I was greeted by Ricky. Coming from an automotive background I can tell he was very skilled in the way he spoke to me. He listened closely to my concerns and went over my options. Ricky tailored his schedule in order to meet my needs and came in an hour early to perform the very necessary service. He gave me a fair quote and stuck to it. My truck runs even better then before. Thank you Redwood City Transmission Service I give them two thumbs up and an A+ rating.

If you're looking for the best transmission shop, look no further--Redwood City Transmission is THE place to go. I've been my own mechanic for years, including restoring classic Ferraris, but a transmission issue on my Lexus had me completely stumped. I tried an initial repair and failed so I took it to a Lexus/Toyota specialist and they insisted I needed a full transmission replacement for $6,500. Luckily, I brought it to Ricky at RWC Transmission, and his expertise saved me thousands. He immediately suspected an electrical issue, not a mechanical failure, and he was absolutely right. A faulty wiring harness and a few inexpensive solenoids were all that needed replacing. I can't say enough about the honesty, knowledge, and professionalism at Redwood City Transmission. Ricky and his team are the real deal--this is where you want to take your car!
