They have my daughter's project 5.0 and they mess up something doing the fuel system pressure test, I agree to pay diag and whatever it is to fix, then I get this: "This is Ravi from Palo Alto Shell. Based on our history with you, we are not comfortable working on your car. There is no charge for the diagnostic/ fuel and you can pick up your vehicle anytime 7 days a week until 10pm." Five years ago I brought my gradma's old Chevy truck for a transmission rebuild, after two weeks they said they don't have a mechanic that knows how to work on it and to take it somewhere else, I'm guessing that's "our history with you" (the other place didn't have a mechanic either and did poor work but grandma's truck is good now) [Edit: the other shop found the control module on 5.0s have a recall -- they are attached to the engine and overheat, new inexpensive control module and fixed, had nothing to do with fuel pressure, misdiagnosed here]

Very rude and hostile service. Stopped in for gas and air. When I asked for the air to be turned on, the owner, insisted on charging $1.50 for air, when I told him it's legally required to provide the air for free in California, he got hostile and rude and started raising his voice about how its not, and he has a sign he bought for $5 to say as much. When challenged on this, he got louder and more hostile.

Okay so this review is actually for the gas station well actually it's more for the bathroom. Look I don't typically write reviews for gas station bathrooms but for a shell station bathroom this bathroom is so clean I feel like I'm in Japan. The door to the bathroom opened automatically for me from the man inside and when I said Ben the bathroom is completely spotless. I feel this just doesn't happen with gas station bathrooms. Everything in the bathroom is new and modern and I feel like I would be comfortable eating my dinner off of the floor in here. That's how clean it is.

If you use their squeegee they gonna yell at you to let you bring it to carwash:) Been filling up here for a year. Homeless people staring? Fine. Crowded? Fine. A bit overpriced? Fine. Smog check appointment mess? Fine. Fueling almost $100 and can't simply wipe the bug off the license plate? Not fine. Never come back again.
