Got a A transmission check engine light and started noticing my car, not shift very well. Took it to them, And they got it fixed right up for a very reasonable price. Great communication, very Knowledgeable people, And really liked interacting with them. Will definitely use them again for any transmission problems for My Blazer!

This AAMCO shop is the best! I was on a road trip with my EV when the check engine light came on for the first time. Not knowing much about electric vehicles, I brought it here for help. AJ and Ignacio were incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout the process. I knew AAMCO worked on all types of vehicles, but I had no idea they had certified EV technicians as well. They quickly put my mind at ease and got my car repaired at a great price. I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for honest, professional service!

I can’t recommend AAMCO San Diego Mission Bay enough. After another repair shop completely mishandled my transmission installation, and my daughter and I were left stranded an hour and half away from home. I was left stressed, frustrated, and unsure who to trust. From the moment my car was towed to their shop, everything changed. The GM Ignacio Tarazon personally called me to review the situation, explained what they would do and listened to my concerns. They went above and beyond to help me get my car running and back home. The team here was professional, honest, and incredibly thorough. They took the time to explain exactly what went wrong with the previous installation and walked me through how they were going to fix it—no vague answers, no upselling, just clear communication and real expertise. Ignacio kept me updated with details every step along the way and provided detailed printout reports of everything. Most importantly, they got the job done right. My car is now running smoothly, and I finally have peace of mind knowing the work was done correctly. I want to gate keep this place so bad, but my experience here has been overwhelmingly positive so I want to share with anyone looking for a new go-to place. Very happy with estimates I’ve been given and prices I’ve paid for the various repairs I’ve had done recently (transmission fluid, valve body, brakes) and how quickly they were done. My experience everywhere else has been going 2-3 days with my car in the shop with no updates, definitely not the case here. Huge shoutout to Ignacio for being extremely accommodating and helpful every time I’ve needed something done. This is definitely my go-to place moving forward.

There are not enough words to describe how grateful I am for A.J., Ignacio and Joseph at AAMCO! My elderly mom was getting scammed from the dealership that wanted to charge her $5k for a “leak in her transmission”. I told her we need to shop around for some other quotes because this is a LOT of money. I found the AAMCO on Morena Blvd through an online search. Ignacio gave me a much more reasonable quote over the phone but asked me to bring the car in for a free evaluation to confirm the issue. He found that my mom’s care was fine - no leak! He showed us the transmission when the car was lifted and explained everything to us. He did not charge us for the diagnostic work, and saved my mom $5K. They do everything at this location, except tires. My mom will take her cars here for everything from now on! They will not scam you or rip you off. They will take great care of you with honest and fair pricing. I only wish my parents knew about this place sooner!!!!!!! I can’t praise them enough for how they helped us. Thank you A.J. and Ignacio!
