We came here because of the good reviews and cheap prices, but the work was shoddy. After leaving the first time, there was still a problem with the front axle so we brought it back. Got charged again even though the problem wasn’t resolved properly the first time. We were ok with that, however, because of the quick turn around time and the cheap price. Come back a third time for another issue, again, wasn’t fully resolved after the visit. Started hearing a clunking sound when driving that we’d never heard before. Called the shop and asked if they could take a look since this noise only appeared after picking the car up. Ricardo said he’d look at it after clearing up some space in his lot. We waited 2 weeks with calls here and there asking for an update, but he apparently still didn’t have space for us. Eventually, we gave up contacting him and took it as a lost cause. The car STILL makes that clunking noise, months later from when this all happened. I’m sure Ricardo was happy we stopped contacting him. I’m not trying to make accusations, however, I think we may have been taken advantage of because of our young age (both the car owner and I are below 21). The rest of the reviews

Ricardo has done 2 jobs for me now, both executed perfectly. His prices are very reasonable, work is amazing, excellent welds, and he takes his time to get the job done right.

I ran into brake problems when I was visiting Santa Barbara and called Atlas Muffler and Brakes. Riccardo kindly agreed to take a look at the problem immediately upon my request. He quickly test drove the car to understand the problem, after which he gave me a good understanding of the problem, the repair needed and the estimated repair cost, all upfront (rather than having to leave the car at the shop to even get a quote, given that problem and the repair wasn't very complicated). Their shop repaired the car on the same day, which allowed me to safely travel back from SB and I didn't have to waste a day waiting. Moreover, Riccardo showed me the newly installed parts on the car when I went to pick it up and gave me some gotchas for the future. The price for the repair was reasonable and about 50-60% lower than what another shop was charging for the same repair. I would recommend Riccardo and his shop for honest and trustworthy service.

Ricardo recently replaced my muffler on my Jeep, he was knowledgeable, professional, and honest. Best muffler shop in Goleta and I can say that from experience with the others! Thanks Ricardo.

Any time I have car concerns, I come and see Ricardo. He has always been honest with me about the urgency and cost of repairs. They have great customer service and even better work. This is the only place I trust to do honest and good work on my car.
