Simple: it was serviced and taken care of by Peter, Brian, and the rest of the team at Cal Auto. This spotless, comfortable shop in Santa Ana, Orange County redefines what a mechanic should be. The owners and employees treat every Japanese car like their own — doesn't matter the age, the tech, whether it's fully loaded or stripped down. You feel like the world's top surgeons and the world's greatest detectives are working on your car, making sure it leaves better than new. The consistency is the cherry on top. You'd think, "I'm only getting this treatment because it's my first visit." Nope. It's white-glove service every single time. Spotless bathrooms. Water, hot coffee, snacks. A waiting area that's actually comfortable. This place makes the dealership service center — or any third-party mechanic — feel out of vogue. Like Latin: a dead language.

I am very happy with Peter and Bryan's work. Very honest and trustworthy people to keep my 2016 Camry running smoothly on the road. I came here with a list of recommendations from a well-known tire company shop for them to look at. After the inspection, Peter took me over to look at my car. He showed me the areas that supposedly needed work. He explained everything thoroughly and reassured me that my car was in good shape. Other than thw mandatory smog check and regular maintenence, my Camry was doing well. They saved me a couple hundred dollars! As a woman, I appreciate their honesty. Bringing my car here for maintenence from here on out.

I have never had a better experience in my life with a mechanic!! I wish I could give 10 stars! We came in right before closing and Peter stayed after to help us figure out an issue while we are here on vacation. He spent his time and made sure everything was explained to us and took it for a drive. He went above and beyond for us even when we are locals. We might move here just for him now because we need a mechanic like this haha. Everyone needs to support this shop!!!

First would like to say how refreshing it is to be with a auto service that you feel like thay are not trying to take every cent from you. Peter is a stand up person honest and man he is amazing. We came here cause my daughter in law went to a mechanic in January, they charged her 2k of work, they kept nuts loose that were clicking. she went back to the other machanic and they tried to charge another 2k to replace more parts. My daughter in law called me and could not believe this cost. I took her car to Cal Auto Service, he took his time explained to me all the step, found that the issue was that they left loose screws. He tighened them. The honesty was so refreshing. I can not recomend this place enough. So fortunate to have found this business. Professional, and I will establish a relationship with all my cars here. Thank you Peter.

Great experience with CAL Auto Service! I brought in a car from a private seller for a PPI. Mr.Peter was very honest, enthusiatic and gave me a detailed breakdown of the car's condition. Their technical inspection gave me peace of mind before making the purchase. 5 stars for honesty and quality. Highly recommend their expertise if you're buying a used car!
