ILLEGAL SMOG CHECK & COLLUSION INVESTIGATION UNDERWAY. Avoid Gagan Smog Station. I am preparing to file a formal fraud report against this station with the California Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) and the DMV. On April 25, 2026, this station issued a certified "PASS" for a 2013 Lexus RX 450h (Invoice #29310) owned by Charlie’s Motors LLC. However, dealer diagnostic logs prove the permanent hybrid battery failure code (P0A80) was manually wiped right before the test. Per California BAR regulations, a recently cleared vehicle would show monitors as "Not Ready" and must be automatically rejected by the OIS system. Gagan Smog Station bypassed these protocols to illegally pass a broken vehicle for a corrupt dealer. All computer logs, mileage data, and invoices are fully gathered and ready to be submitted to BAR and the DMV Investigations Division. If you value your license and your hard-earned money, do not trust this station.

Gagan's service is all-pro. Gragan is super friendly and takes his time to answer any questions you may have. I've taken multiple cars here for Smog Checks. The inspections are quick (15 minutes or less) and priced very reasonably (~$50). If the inspection fails, Gagan provides a clear explanation, so you can get the issue resolved. He provides a heavy discount for a re-test once your car has been repaired. His shop is clean with a nice waiting area with complimentary bottles of water. It is located next to Dale Hardware on Thornton Ave in north Fremont. Will definitely be coming back.

Tidy, fast, friendly, and polite. Started my inspection at 3pm, finished at 3:12. Comfortable and well set-up waiting area to sit and actually gets a nice breeze on a hot day. Easy place for a smog check. There are a couple parking spots right in front that are labeled "smog only parking" but there are also plenty of other spots that appear to not have signage, so don't worry about parking. The location is right by Dale, but the parking lot is fenced separately, so it's a different entrance, on Thornton.
