Billy honestly deserves a rave review from me but I don’t want everyone to discover him and crowd his shop. After some thought I have faith that Billy will still manage shop time well. I’ve come to know the mechanic, family man, and friend. Needing auto repair is a bummer but the experience at this shop is far more pleasant than most.

Cannot recommend highly enough-- Billy is professional, thorough, responsible and HONEST-- more than once I've gone in and it would have been so easy for him to say "your confabulator needs replacement and your reciptriptor is on the fritz" and charged me $$$$-- instead he tells me when there ISN'T a problem, and also when the problem is a simple fix. He takes (and keeps!) appointments and also makes room in his schedule when there's a quick question.

I've been to Billy multiple times already for both of my vehicles. He is very fair and always does an excellent job. It is hard to find honest, good, hardworking mechanics out there, and Billy is definitely one of those hidden gems.

God knows I have been cheated enough times by mechanic shops to know better not to trust any more. But finding a shop as genuine as South County Brakes & More is truly a refreshing experience for me. Too many places rely on deception to keep their doors open, sacrificing integrity for profit. Yet, I firmly believe that when a business puts its customers first, rewards inevitably follow. You can set aside your worries about being misled or pressured into unnecessary services with Billy. He embodies an honest, down-to-earth attitude that sets the tone for his commitment to fairness, which is matched by reasonable pricing. Honestly, with services like his, I’d gladly pay a little extra and still leave with a smile. Billy is a shining example of how a business thrives through honest work and ethical practices, proving that success and integrity can go hand in hand. As I am writing this review while waiting in his shop, I notice this is the reason why finding an honest shop like Billy’s South County Brakes & More is such a breath of fresh air. Here, you don’t have to worry about being taken advantage of or upsold on unnecessary repairs.

Billy and his team are my go to for all of my car work. Completely transparent and honest, he always works with me and explains each step in whatever process my vehicle is undergoing, keeping me up to date and in the know regarding what he finds. I have had other mechanics tell me my car needed some massive job, and when taken to Billy, he tells me with a laugh that they are wrong, saving me time and money. In this day in age it is a place of rare trust and integrity that I am lucky to be able to access. Thanks to Billy and South County Brakes! Recently they have been helping supe up my 2022 mx-5 with coilovers, swaybars and new rims/tires and it has been a dream come true!
