Manager was awesome and down to earth. Give that guy a raise. Price for my wheel axle replacement was extremely competitive. Dealership was quoting 2.5x what these guys were offering. Mechanics were knowledgeable and hard working. Lobby needs some working on though. Too many dead bugs and no working AC on a hot day kinda suck when you gotta wait for 3 hours. Thanks fellas.

I had a great experience at American Tire Depot in Chula Vista, thanks to Barac. I brought in my 2018 Jeep Wrangler for an oil change, brake inspection, and to have the steering checked after receiving a very expensive quote from the dealership. Instead of trying to sell me parts I didn’t need, Barac took the time to inspect everything thoroughly and explain what he found. He told me my brake pads were still in good shape, that the rotor noise wasn’t urgent, and that I could wait until my next brake service. He also found only one steering component that needs attention instead of recommending I replace the entire front end like the dealership did. He explained everything in a way that made sense, answered all my questions, and never pressured me into unnecessary repairs. After the tire rotation and balancing, my Jeep actually drives and steers better than before. It’s hard to find an honest mechanic these days, but Barac earned my trust. If you want someone who knows Jeeps and 4x4s, takes pride in his work, and treats customers fairly, I highly recommend asking for him.

Fantastic place, very cost affective! Barac was highly knowledgeable and very informative. Had an unexpected out of town emergency and they got me in and out in under an hour. The team was very customer service orientated and as a woman alone I felt comfortable and safe. The waiting area was well planed out and air conditioned so that was very nice. I was able to plan for other services in the near future and the use quality parts and oils. I asked tones of questions and got honest and direct answers. The shop was neat and there was lots of parking. The driveway was easily accessible and they have handicap parking as well. The technicians were very fast and efficient. They went above expectation. I will most definitely be using American Tire Depot for all my other cars and future service and inspections. Well worth the money!

I've only had great experiences from this place. They don't try to upsell anybody, they get the job done as promised and they do it on a timely fashion. I've taken multiple cars to multiple locations and all of the staff members are more than diligent. Most recently I took a BMW with a broken rim to the Chula Vista location on Memorial Day evening and they got it done for me. Since I was able to bring a replacement OEM part with me, they were able to take the tire off the broken Rim Mount and balance it on the new rim and have it installed fairly quickly.

Originally scheduled on Saturday, May 9. Appointment was not fulfilled due to one tech on the job for a wheel alignment and was behind on his work. Understandable. Gentlemen at the counter offered a discounted price for the inconvenience and rescheduled for May 11. I informed him that I purchased a wheel alignment warranty in January 2026. He was not able to find my information in their system documenting that purchase. I showed him the receipt from that day and he was able to honor the warranty with paper documentation. Arrived today for the rescheduled appointment time, new gentleman is now charging me full price at 132.99 (versus the discounted price previously offered). I asked about the 1 year warranty that I purchased but they were still unable to find the documentation in their system. I told them I have paper documentation, they responded they can’t honor paper documentation and “if they can’t find it on their system, there is nothing they can do about it.” Money down the drain in an already tight economy… 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ After receiving the vehicle.. I did a vision inspection and this is what I found (see photo). Pushing back the tabs is not how you do a proper alignment…
