I bought an Apple laptop expecting a premium experience, but I was disappointed by how closed the system feels. One of my biggest frustrations is gaming. Many Steam games either don't run, have poor compatibility, or require extra workarounds compared to Windows. Apple's ecosystem feels too restrictive. Instead of giving users more freedom over what they can install and run, it often seems like gaming is an afterthought. If you mainly want to play Steam games, especially titles that rely on Windows or anti-cheat software, this is not the platform I'd recommend. The hardware is impressive, but the software limitations and lack of broad game support make it hard to justify if gaming is important to you. I expected more flexibility from such an expensive laptop.

Thoroughly impressed with the State St Apple Small Business team. Left the store yesterday super frustrated bc my genius bar appointment was 25 minutes late and I waited for an hour to be told that they didn’t have any laptops in stock. Obviously, not their fault but I wish I was told upon check in that they didn’t have any lap tops when I told the greeter I specifically came in to purchase a new one. Maybe something they should check before having a customer wait to be seen- but that’s just my thoughts. Before I left, they did however sign me up to be a “small business customer” which is supposed to expedite customer service/products for small/medium businesses. SUPER thankful they did bc fast forward to today- I just got a call from Naim at the store to, first, apologize and 2nd, completely solve my problem. Because I am a “small business customer” they are getting a laptop overnighted to their store. Thank you Apple State St for going above and beyond to fix my issue!!!

I did a trade-in of my previous phone as part of the payment for getting a new one. The process was terrible: they didn’t migrate my photos or my WhatsApp chats. I spent 2 hours in the store trying to fix it and they couldn’t. I lost all my information. The only thing they resolved was refunding me for the case I bought. If you’re going to offer a device exchange, make sure the staff knows how to do the data migration.

Navid has helped us not once but twice. The first time we came, no other tech at the Genius Bar could assist us when the 17pro max screen wasn’t working. This is no problem for Navid. He is a problem solver and incredibly skilled. His customer service skills, ability to diagnose and troubleshoot tech issues, and expertise are unmatched. He will run this place one day.

Wendy wins the prize for “Worst Employee Ever” at Apple in Santa Barbara... I had a truly horrible experience at the Apple Store on State Street in Santa Barbara this past Saturday (April 17, 2026). My MacBook Pro suddenly crashed in LA on Thursday, and I had to completely wipe the system and reinstall everything. Thankfully, I had my hard drive with me and I was in Santa Barbara for the weekend, so I went to the Apple store on State Street where I asked an employee named "WENDY" for help. Unfortunately, the service I received was the worst I’ve ever experienced at any Apple Store. She was dismissive, unhelpful, and came across as both arrogant and disengaged. In the middle of assisting me, she simply walked away through a door behind the counter and never returned. I waited for over 20 minutes, but the store was closing, so I was forced to leave without any resolution. As someone who has been a loyal Apple customer for years—and who purchases extensively through my business for my entire team—this was incredibly disappointing. This is not the level of service I’m used to, especially compared to the Apple Stores in Los Angeles. Whether it’s a training issue or not, basic profession
