Huge shoutout to Dennis and the guys at River City Transmission for taking care of my 6L80. I brought the truck in because the trans had the classic shudder issue, and they got straight to it. Once they tore it down, they gave me the option to upgrade it with a performance build including Stage 2 pistons and other upgraded internals instead of just throwing stock parts back in it. They’re also running AMSOIL fluid, which was a huge plus for me. Truck shifts way smoother now and feels way more solid overall. You can tell these guys actually know 6L80s and care about the quality of the build. Best part was the turnaround time — they knocked it out in about a week. Solid shop, solid people, and definitely worth trusting with your transmission build.

Dennis is the man. He helped me out in a sincere bind. Kept the price low, sent me pictures, very clean and precise. Constant contact and updates. He’s a great businessman and you can definitely trust him which is very hard to find in the automotive industry. Definitely would recommend his services to anyone with transmission related issue. 08 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 After looking around and calling several shops in san antonio many wouldn't service a "manual transmission". I found Dennis based off a recommendation and gave him a call. We chatted for about and hr and told him my situation. He told me Manual is not an issue at all for him. He gave me a quote that was subject to change until he actually opened the transmission. Upon opening we realized it was a Magnum Tremec and let me know parts would be a bit more but not much. He communicated with me throughout tear down and rebuild. He rebuilt the transmission and installed my Mcleod Rxt 1200HD clutch. Talk about a one stop shop. He addressed other minor parts that should be installed now that its open than later. The price for labor was beyond fair and the warranty is the best in the business. Although very busy Dennis continously kept me in the loop with calls and photos. If you need a High performance transmission rebuilt for your Shelby , Z06 , Hellcat or more especially a manual please give him a call. As time progresses ill adjust this review accordingly. Dennis and the fine people at River City Transmission are efficient, knowledgeable, and honest mechanics. Dennis kept me updated on my transmission repair thru text and calls. After one week My truck was ready and is driving better than ever! No gimmicks, no upsell, just straightforward, honest mechanic. So blessed to have found River City Transmission.

Dennis and his crew here at River City Transmissions are top notch. So much experience, and knowledge between them. He used to own a bigger shop, but had to downsize with the economy. Still gives the best prices compared to any other corporation. Cleaned my transmission up and had it running like brand new. They even helped me with my brake rotars. Truck came out with a full tank and looking fresh. Even included a warranty. Very friendly, and fair. Would recommend.
