Excellent experience with Bavarium Autoworks. I brought in my 10+ year-old diesel European vehicle for an inspection and second opinion, and I was impressed from start to finish. Communication started before I even arrived. The team reviewed my vehicle history and reached out with a few questions about services they couldn’t verify in the records. I appreciated that level of preparation and attention to detail. Throughout the process, everyone was professional, communicative, and willing to answer questions. When I asked for clarification on recommendations, they took the time to explain what they were seeing and why. I never felt pressured into repairs, and I appreciated that they didn’t criticize previous shops that had worked on the vehicle. The courtesy transportation was also a huge help. They arranged a rideshare so I could get back to work, which made the entire experience much more convenient. I originally came in for one concern and ultimately decided to address a few additional maintenance items that were due. The recommendations aligned with my goal of keeping an older vehicle reliable for the long term, and I felt informed rather than pressured throughout the process

I wanted to share my experience so others can make an informed decision. The staff was friendly and courteous, but I left with serious concerns about the repair recommendations I received. I came in for a routine oil change. During the visit, I was encouraged to add several maintenance services, which increased my bill from about $130 to around $800. I didn’t mind because I had recently purchased a used car and wasn’t sure when maintenance items like the spark plugs had last been replaced. The real issue came after the inspection. I received a report recommending over $10,000 in repairs. I was told I had an unrepairable tire puncture, that I should replace all four tires for over $2,000, and that I had a coolant leak requiring more than $7,000 in repairs. Most concerning, I was told the car was unsafe to drive and that I should have it towed home. That recommendation was not only overly cautious, it was alarming. Telling someone their car isn’t safe to drive and should be towed is something many people would take at face value. He provided fair and competitive pricing, helpful recommendations, and kept me updated throughout the service with ETAs. The team performed a thorough inspection, sourced the parts quickly, and completed the work fast. These guys clearly know European cars, and I trust them with my vehicle. Highly recommend. Amazing customer service! Right after a big 60K service there was an issue with leaking coolant (drain plug wasn't sealing properly). They responded immediately, towed the car back to their shop the same day, fixed it after ordering new parts, and delivered it back to my house. This is the type of shop that deserves loyalty and return business. It's not about being perfect or the cheapest; how a business responds to an incident says everything. I brought a car here for a PPI and I was blown away by the service and friendliness of everyone. Erin, you’re an absolute legend and have an amazing business. Thank you for being so attentive to my needs and resolving any questions I had. It was a pleasant drive back to LA knowing everything was in order when I left your shop. I guess I can only buy vehicles in the Bay Area from now on so I can take them your way!!
